Acupuncture is an alternative medicine that treats patients by manipulating thin, solid , steril, and disposal needles that have inserted into acupuncture points on the body. Stimulating these points can correct imbalance in the flow of Qi through the channels called meridians. It is approved to be effective in the treatment of pain, weight control, stroke recovery, women's and men's healthcare, pregnancy-related complaints, respiratory disorders, sleep and stress disorders, urogenital disorders, nervous system disorder, digestive disorder, skin disorder, addiction, strengthen immune system and other ailments.

Does Acupuncture Hurts ?

Most of the time there is no pain, once the needles are in place, you may feel a sensation of heaviness, warmth or tingling at or around the site of the needle. Most patients find the treatment very relaxing and many fall asleep during treatment.

How Many Treatments will it take to get results ?

The number of treatments needed depends on the duration, severity and nature of illness. You may need one or two treatments for an acute condition. A series of 5 to 15 treatments may resolve chronic conditions. For many chronic problems, you have to be patient, you may take 3-5 treatments to notice it is working.

Is Acupuncture safe ?

Yes. Acupuncture is extremely safe. It is all natural, drug-free therapy. There is little danger of infection from Acupuncture needles because they are FDA approved, sterile, used once and disposed immediately.

How often should  I have Acupuncture treatment ?

Most patients are initially treated once or twice a week, three visits a week are more effective for most conditions. For patients who are interested in corrective, maintenance and wellness care beyond the relief of symptoms, personalized programs are designed based on your individual needs.

How long does each session take ?

The average session takes 30 to 45 minutes. You should plan on being in the office for approximately 1 hour. The time spent on each visit will vary based on the individual cases. For the initial visit, plan to spend an hour to an hour and a half.

Do I need to believe in acupuncture work for me?

No, many patients are initially referred by their doctors. They have no experience with acupuncture and still get positive results.
